How to Look Up an IP Address

An IP lookup takes an IP address and returns information such as country, region, city, ISP (internet provider), and often approximate coordinates. Use our IP lookup tool on the home page: open the "Lookup" tab and enter the IP.

What the results mean

Location data is usually at the level of city or region, not a precise street address. ISP and org show which provider or company the IP is assigned to. This is useful for support, security checks, or understanding where a connection comes from.
